UAE and Canada hold first Joint Committee in Abu Dhabi
 
The UAE Ministry of Foreign 
Affairs (MoFA) recently hosted the first UAE-Canada Joint Committee 
meeting in Abu Dhabi. The meeting, co-chaired by Reem Al Hashimy and 
Mélanie Joly, aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between the two 
countries. Both sides emphasized the significance of this meeting in 
promoting collaboration and achieving shared goals. Al Hashimy 
highlighted the growing ties between the UAE and Canada, particularly in
 the economic sector. Joly expressed her appreciation for the meeting 
and the commitment of both nations to enhance their relations. The 
meeting was attended by senior officials from both countries, and 
discussions focused on various areas of cooperation. The co-chairs 
signed a joint statement and agreed to hold the next Joint Committee 
meeting in Canada.
