World Economic Forum selects UAE's initiative 'Jahiz' among top 9 future resilience pioneers

The "Jahiz" initiative, a national digital platform aimed at empowering federal government talents with future skills, was selected as one of the top projects by the World Economic Forum (WEF) out of over 1000 public and private sector projects worldwide. The WEF chose the best projects in three main categories: climate, energy and food; supply chains; and organizational readiness. The "Jahiz" initiative focuses on building human capital to enhance the UAE government's readiness for the future and has achieved significant milestones since its launch. It has up-skilled 50,000 employees from over 50 government entities, resulting in the acquisition of over 800,000 badges through one million training hours. The initiative targets future skills such as Data & AI Skills, New Economy Skills, Digital Skills, and skills to enhance productivity and accelerate achievement. Ohood Bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, Chairwoman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, highlighted that the selection of "Jahiz" by the WEF is a global recognition of the UAE government's success in enhancing future readiness.
